RAVIN Gateway Technology

RAVIN LMR - 645 H

The RAVIN LMR Gateway provides connectivity for 4 channels of radio resources operating in an IP multicast or unicast mode. Within the RAVIN application each radio resource, regardless of frequency, can be configured as a communication channel with the appropriate sequential tones or PTT signaling required to access the radio resource. The unique RAVIN architecture allows console operators and other communication resources independent or concurrent access to dissimilar radio resources such as UHF, VHF, analog, digital, conventional or trunked. These resources can also be patched together; one to one, one to many, many to one or many to many, thus providing interoperable communication between dissimilar radio networks. Telephones, PCs, PDAs, and other endpoint devices can access these resources ad hoc or through predefined channel communities through the RAVIN application. The RAVIN LMR Gateway is designed to operate in extreme environmental conditions at 12 vdc 60 watts and can be configured with optional 110-240 vac power adaptor.

RAVIN Unicast/Mulicast Gateways - 645

RAVIN IPU-645 MS acts as a media processing engine for third party IP gateway devices. The IPU645MS runs as a Windows embedded or Linux server performing digitizing, mixing, audio transcoding and multicast to unicast conversion for these gateway resources . RAVIN IPU-645 MS enables third party IP based LMR gateways such as Telex Vega IP223s, JPS ACU’s and NXU’s, Voice Interop 360R’s to integrate with RAVIN over unicast WAN networks. The IPU-645MS is designed to operate in extreme environmental conditions at 12 vdc 60 watts and can be configured with optional 110-240 vac power adaptor. IPU-645MS bridges the gap between next generation RoIP solutions that are otherwise proprietary and limited in scalability, and allows agencies to integrate disparate RoIP solutions together providing an unprecedented level of interoperability.

The IPU 645 Gateway converts multicast IP traffic to unicast across wide area networks, enabling IP multicast endpoint devices to communicate across existing unicast networks in a cohesive manner. Specifically designed for hoot and hollar applications, geographically dispersed order wire and intercom networks and large scale integrated audio conference environments. The IPU 645 Gateway is designed to operate in extreme environmental conditions at 12 vdc 60 watts and can be configured with optional 110-240 vac power adaptor.
